Iran hijab protests grow despite risks
Risking their freedom and their safety: women across Iran have been removing their veils in defiance of the country’s strict religious laws. The campaign swiftly went viral after a young woman with her hair uncovered posted her photograph online back in December.
She was finally released last weekend after being held for a month and could still face criminal charges. But that hasn’t stopped a wave of activists posting their own images, demanding control over their own bodies
